Undisclosed — John Carstens

For months at a time, I'd do the ORD-SFO commute to work with the bright minds at Apple—usually in a windowless building with an "undisclosed location" vibe to it. It’s an experience I wrote about here. I can't show or tell you everything I worked on, but here are a few glimpses that probably won't get me in too much trouble.

I have a tiny bit of ancient history with this brand. Not long after Steve Jobs returned to the company in 1997, I was a wee lad at Chiat and got my grubby hands on a couple Apple assignments. That, and my first boss in this business wrote the famous "Think Different" manifesto that everyone has copied since—and that the internet attributes to Mr. Jobs himself. Now you know.
